Company Profile:
The research activities of at Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences focus on sustainable buildings on a single building, communal and city level including the buildings envelope with innovative constructions and materials and the energy supply with renewable energy sources. Here develops and analyses systems and new network concepts including intelligent energy management tools for solar and geothermal heating and cooling and for sustainable electricity generation by PV and large biomass vessels with ORC modules.

Research in the field of renewable energy systems, energy management and innovative buildings

What we offer:
We offer research experience in the following fields:
- Solar heating and cooling systems, closed ad- /absorption cooling, open desiccant cooling (solid and liquid), solar process heat supply
- Geothermal heating and cooling
- Intelligent energy management for renewable energy systems and buildings including simulation based control optimization and predictive control
- Energy concepts and construction of low / zero/ plus energy buildings
- Innovative materials for buildings (vacuum isolation, membrane technologies etc.)
- Simulation of PV systems (crystalline, amorphous and organic)
- Intelligent control of biomass cogeneration systems
- Analysis and development of new concepts for low exergy heating grids

What are we looking for:
- Research cooperation with industrial partners for new product development, system monitoring, analysis and system optimization
- Cooling tower producers with interest in the development of new highly efficient cooling towers for solar cooling systems
- Solar cooling kid providers (closed and open sorption cooling) with interest in research activities for design and system control optimization to reduce the electricity consumption
- Owners of large building complexes with interest in the development and setup of intelligent energy management systems within a research project
